For the last several months, I have been increasingly focused on establishing healthy habits at work. It’s clear the modern day workforce is spending most of their time sitting and that can be problematic for one’s health when older. When I remember, I try to sit straight up in my chair, but I did not realize until I watched this TEDxStandford talk there is a right and a wrong way to sit up straight.
Last weekend, I attended Product Camp DC for the first time. For those who don’t know, PCamp is a community organized un-conference for product people (product managers, UXers, etc.). It was an exhausting day, but exhausting for all the right reasons. I attended six workshops in all and took away a ton of useful insights and resources. The hard part about attending conference isn’t absorbing the information, but doing something with it when you get back to the “day-to-day.” That’s why I try to focus on creating action items for after conference.
